Happy New Year!
The first few weeks of 2018 have been full of packing, preparing, and spending time with friends. It seemed to be going far too quickly, and extremely slowly all at once. With the 13th fast approaching, I thought I would take this opportunity to write a little more about how I’m feeling, and my experiences so far.
The Rotary Youth Exchange committee (and my Sponsor Rotary Club) has been incredibly helpful in preparing all of the outbound students for the year ahead, and I’m thankful for their continued help and support promised throughout the year.
I’m learning that goodbyes can be difficult; and although I’m excited, I’m also nervous about the incredible journey ahead and saddened to leave everyone I know here.
My bags are packed, and all there is to do now is wait.
